MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

As we near the end of another academic year, our placement process for the final year students has, as usual, almost concluded. Has Commits lived up to its promise of providing a relevant skills-based education in sync with the requirements of the media industry? Well, the placements for the Class of 2009 have proved that beyond all doubt.

We are aware that even as industry, as a whole, is downsizing the world over in these challenging times, the media industry in India continues to be in constant need of manpower. But, even in India, organisations are hiring on careful budgets and they are now being 'picky' as they look to recruit people who are the ideal mix of academic background and professional expertise.

We take great pride, therefore, in the fact that our students have already been placed with leading newspapers, magazines, TV channels, production houses, and PR agencies that have come to our campus for recruitment. Commits' reputation for turning out well-rounded professionals with multitasking abilities, focus, and commitment continues to generate interest in organisations looking to hire and we are confident they will be happy with their choice of Commitscions.
