ADMISSION PROCESS
ELIGIBILITY: A graduate with a university degree recognized in India. Final year students awaiting results can also apply. Graduates with work experience can also apply.
(Students with backlog in the final semester/year or any of the previous semesters/years, or students whose results have been withheld or not declared for more than one year, will not be eligible to apply).
APPLICATION FORM: Application form can be downloaded as word document or .pdf and printed on A4 paper. The application should be then filled up using a blue-ink ball pen, and a recent passport-sized colour photograph pasted. At the time of downloading the web site will generate an application number, and an email acknowledgement will be sent to you, which you can preserve for all future reference and correspondence. The application form has to reach the Admissions Coordinator
with 'APPLICATION NUMBER' written on the outer envelope.
APPLICATION FEE: Rs.1,000 to be attached with the application form, through local or multi-city cheque or demand draft (drawn in favour of 'Commits, Bangalore'). The name of the student along with the application number should be written on the back of the cheque/demand draft. Cash will also be accepted when application form is submitted in person.
ENCLOSURES: All applicants must compulsorily send the following documents along with the application form.
- Demand Draft/Cheque for Rs.1,000 towards application fee
- Attested photocopy of certificate of birth (any legally valid certificate bearing date of birth)
- Copies of all semesters/years marksheets at the graduate level (if complete)… or copies of all marksheets/years up to the final semester/year (excluding the exams yet to appear)
COUNSELLING, WRITTEN EXAM AND INTERVIEW: Counselling, entrance exam and personal interviews will be held in Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi.
(In Bangalore the counseling, exam and interviews will begin in January and the students will be called in batches depending on the exam schedules in their respective colleges/universities. Exam and PI dates for Kolkata and Delhi will be announced later.)
SHORTLISTING AND ACCEPTANCE OF SEAT: Shortlisted students to pay non-refundable admission fee of Rs.50,000 and confirm admission, along with letter accepting the seat, signed by student and parent/guardian. This is non-refundable and will be only adjusted against the first year course fee. On no account can the student claim a refund of the admission fee unless the student is found academically ineligible for admission.
NEW ACADEMIC SESSION: Admitted students to report for classes in June-July 2013 (exact date will be notified at the time of admission) in the Bangalore campus, at least two days prior to the start of the session.
Students who have missed the first round of entrance exams in Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore can download and send in their applications for the batch of 2013-15, till May 15. Entrance exam/interview dates will be informed to them individually through email. The exam centre for all late applicants will be either Bangalore or Kolkata only.
