AAISHA SABIR (CLASS OF 2019)

FINALLY, A SENSE OF CONTENTMENT

With a forced enthusiasm and fake smile, you prepare yourself for the round of theory classes and boring lectures over a span of two years when — BOOM — things begin to change. First of all, the classes are anything but drab. In fact, they are filled to the brim with discussions on current affairs and historic moments. Questions from all corners of the room pour in and each one is given ample attention.

Soon, I am surprised that I begin to actually enjoy the classes and look forward to them. Yet I continue telling myself that I am still an introvert in every sense. I actually socialised after what seems to be an eternity. Gradually, I gain confidence in not just lobbing my own questions but also talking to people on a personal level. A sense of contentment engulfs my heart as I wonder: What more could you want from a college?
