Here’s some buzz from the whirlwind month at Commits!

It’s been such an action-packed month for our new batch here at Commits that we’re having to keep our fingers and toes tapping relentlessly to record all the excitement on our social media properties! Here’s a quick note on some of our recent guests, who took time out of their busy schedules to interact with our students.

Dr Olinda Timms, Commits trustee, medical doctor, author, and columnist, who came to interact with the freshers on Professional Ethics in Media.

Sumit Sonal (class of 2011), Lead, Product Marketing with Xiaomi Technology, talked to them about Product Marketing.

Nina Nayar, Senior Development Communication and Microfinance professional with three decades of global experience, came by for an orientation session on Media and Communication for Development.

Sujith Mohan (class of 2012), Communications Lead — Consumer Marketing, with Essilor India, conducted a session on Brand and Advertising.

Ruth Prabhu D’Souza, a Well-known journalist conducted an orientation workshop on Detecting and Analysing Fake News.

Islahuddin NS, ad and feature filmmaker, and noted theatre artiste, interacting with the freshers during an orientation session.

Sabika Mirza (class of 2011) and Rahil Mehdi, co-founders of Tessarakt Experiential Marketing, interacted with the freshers during an orientation session.

Nupur Basu’s documentary, the Velvet Revolution, is the story of women journalists courageous enough to speak out and risk it all. Commits is proud to have hosted the 187th screening of the Velvet Revolution.
